  • At Last an affordable Audiophile experience!

At last I found an affordable Audiophile experience! Just what I was looking for. I had some DT880 Chrome by Beyerdynamic, but honestly I didn't find the sound signature for my taste. I am the kind of guy who does my research before buying. I've owned Soundmagic HP100 and Beyer. I sold my first pair looking for high fidelity sounding headphones, clear highs, rich mids and a faithful bass, the HD58X are the whole deal. PROS - No amp needed, Versatile/ low impedance - Sturdy in a good manner, good looking - Sound signature dark, some compare them to the HD600 series - Great value for money CONS - Hard clamping, guess they loosen up - Open headphones leak I use portable Amplifiers, a dedicated Amp/dac and an audio receiver. My DT880 were 250Ohms so they needed to be powered. Let's put it this way, with a low budget amp the sound was plain good. When I plugged them to my 1995 Sony receiver, they surprisingly improved, sound became fuller, richer, but still the DT880's sound remained bright, a bit plain or flat (maybe works if you are into monitoring), not great for me, I even tried to equalize. HD58X Sound is my choice, more leaning to warm, not harsh, melodic, voice oriented with clear highs and bass presence. CONCLUSION. With these Sennheiser no amp is needed, even though they might benefit, there is no need to make them "sound better," these are plug and play. So far these HD Jubilee have made a revolution in the audio community and you will find divided opinions. Does this takes away fun to the audiophile hobby? Not at all, at least for me, you can still make your rig, listen to a flac or either an mp3 file and you will enjoy it.

  • Outstanding Cans!

These have the same drivers as the $500 660S. If you pop the foam out (super easy) you can’t hear the difference! Well with the $150-$160. Also great for gaming because of the hyper accurate imaging. They are not super wide (sound stage) but provide lots of fun in positional games.

  • Classic must buy

Brand name, reliable, investment in many years of smooth balanced audiophile sound. Stop buying earbuds that don’t last, sound worse, stop cheating yourself.

  • Very Good Headphones!

I read reviews about these phones which said that they were uncomfortable but had very good sound. I find them to be quite comfortable for extended listening periods. I did purchase a headphone amplifier (JDS Labs Objective2) since my music is stored on a digital music player and with just a little bit of gain the combination proves to be just awesome! With these phones I hear things that I have missed before. I am not an audiophile. For me, what is supremely important is great sound reproduction and comfort and the Sennheiser HD58x Jubilee headphones deliver!

  • HD58x vs HD600. A great match up.

Excellent sound even compared to my original HD600 headphones. 58X has a slightly stronger bottom end that is not too heavy. While the HD600 are more accurate, the 58X are fun and worlds ahead of competitors. A great value.

  • Best sound quality I've heard.

Good headphones. Awesome sound quality. The ear pads are a little uncomfortable, so I'll probably change them out. I'm still getting used to the open backs, though. I can hear my kid yelling at Roblox in the background. I've only owned Sony and Bose closed back headphones and the sound difference is striking. The 58X Jubilees are much clearer and precise.

  • Buy it! You won't be sorry

Balanced sound, lows are accurate without being overbearing, highs are pleasant with no trace of harshness and mids are utstanding. Male and female vocals are centered and just forward enough. Am driving with a DacMagic XS or Schiite Fulla 2 and both provide more than enough volume. Just about the best $300 dollar package you can get IMO.

  • Brings the mid-range alive.

Compared to a 14 year old pair of Sennheiser 555s, these 58x Jubilee headphones sound 4 times better. I paid a little over original sales price for this set of lightly used cans and I'm elated.

  • Great choice

I have been thru over 25 headphones from Senn. HD650.HD600, Audioquest Nighthawk and many other quality phones. This one is a keeper and would place it near the top for me. Comfort, build, sound and price. You can not go wrong choosing these.

  • Fantastic

These headphones are absolutely fantastic and a step above the other Bluetooth headphones in this range. It’s a ridiculous amount of value. These phones have got more bass than I thought an open back would have even when driving them from my iPad and iPhone. Absolutely happy with my purchase.
