Like the Curate's Egg, "Good in Parts!"
My TV is more useful with the TIVO. It has a good guide and easy recording - except that with my old Tablo DVR-Tuner I was able to pull up ALL broadcast videos two weeks into the future and record a batch at a time. Then I would watch what I wanted, when I wanted. Haven't managed that with the TIVO yet. And disappointed I can't use voice search for everything I want, especially YouTubes. Voice search was why I bought the unit. But the TIVO does surprise me as I use it more. Different channels and feeds. Anyhow, instead of using the TIVO remote to do everything (what I hoped for), I use it for over the air broadcast video and recording, then change back to my Android TV for streaming - Prime, YouTube, Netflix. I split my antenna feed in two, one to the TIVO and one to the Android TV. Now I suffer no frustration, maybe I will learn better in the future! btw important to have a fast and responsive Android TV, some are unbearable slow...
