1GIG download via XFINITY - Exceeds Expectations with Xfinity High Speed
This unit is a combination of MODEM and ROUTER at a decent price. With DOCSIS 3.1, you get the latest standard with high performance that includes: FOUR ethernet connections plus WI-FI at 2.4Gig and 5G bandwidth. Motorola puts all this into one package at about half-the price of two separate units that control MODEM or ROUTER. XFINITY high speed internet is required for GIG performance. When all is said and done, you get what you pay for. FInally, make sure you have Cat6 or above COAX cables running from the outside cable box to your modem. Many older homes have older style cables that will create all kinds of noise on the line along with data transmission errors. If this is a new install by the cable company, they'll know to use the good cable. If DIY, spend another $30 and run new coax to your modem. Makes a big difference on performance.

Super-fast Internet
I recently cut the cable cord and have gone internet/wifi only and at the same time was able to boost my internet speed to gig plus with an xfinity deal. I also didn't want to continue to rent the router/wifi unit from xfinity. This Motorola unit will save me approximately $150 over the next two years. It took me less than 15 minutes to install and be up and running. It more than doubled my download speed. I am now getting 450-550 download speeds on the floor with the unit and 250-300 mbps in the basement and 2nd floor without any extenders (2000sq ft house). Kids have noticed improvement with xbox and PS. Seller was great and unit arrived super fast.

Replaced Xfinity router
