    The Rose still lights up the stage

    The movie is still very engaging and a sadly relevant insight into the exploitation within the music industry. There are powerhouse performances by Bette Midler, Frederic Forrest and Harry Dean Stanton in a cameo. The music is very well produced and memorable.
