They don't make 'em like they used to - smooth and sweet operating calculator!
HP 48 SX/DX calculators are the absolute best ever produced. The newer HP50 series has a much more cumbersome - cheesier - keyboard. I've compared going from the legacy calculators to the new ones as transitioning from a Lamborghini to a Yugo - the user interface on the older units is that much better. This particular unit is from the very earliest days of the 48SX - to the point that it was actually made in the USA (how long has it been since any consumer electronics were USA made?). This is a very powerful calculator, I recommend working through the owner's manual to see how the programmability, equation solving, and graphing are done and how flexible the tools are.
