4 10Gbe SFP+ ports, and 48 copper, what's not to like? More tech info inside this review...
While I'm always one to use the CLI, they did hobble it in this switch. But that's not all that bad, the GUI is decent to work with, even if it's not intuitive at times. VLANs, routing, port mirroring (collecting traffic from one port and dumping it to another to snoop network traffic), it does it all. Plus, 4 10gBe SFP+ ports and some Dell SFP cables cheap off eBay, and I have a running 10Gbe network between a Solaris server, a VMware server, and my Windows workstation. Full wire-speed forwarding, 176Gbps total switch throughput (which I do believe given my testing) and a very nice product overall. In the box are RAIL SLIDES! And RAIL EARS! Front and back! For the price, it's freakin' GREAT! Very happy. Next purchase will probably be the 12-port 10Gbe version of this, as I grow my home business network. Great stuff.
