Tefal FR8040 Oleoclean Pro Deep Fryer
I'm pretty impressed with the Tefal Deep Fryer. It's very easy to use & the fact that once you've finished frying, you can empty the oil into the storage box, underneath the cooking chamber & it filters the oil of any particles of food residue, leaving the oil ready for the next time you need to use it. The unit comes apart easily for cleaning, making it a quick & simple task. It's frying 'tub' can be put into the dish washer if need be. But I find it easy to wash out, with it all being made of stainless steel. I've decided to use Peanut Oil in it because it handles the heat very well & doesn't impart any taste into the food. I couldn't be happier with the unit. If you are looking for a quality fryer, which removes any of the normal apprehensions that some people have with deep frying, give this one a shot.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great unit, easy to clean and setup. simple design but it is slow to heat up but it might be just my expectation?. Cooks well and the vent channels the steam out in one stream, no other leaks on the lid which is great. Worth the money so far but not used the oil container yet. it is well built and solid but it is a bigger unit. Height and length a surprise compared to the videos online. Best deep fryer i have owned
Well firstly i was surprised by how fast it arrived. Opened the box and it was easy to set up. Bought some potato cakes and vegetable oil from the local supermarket to test it with. Put the oil in, turned it on and when the oil reached 180 degrees i put the potato cakes in. 4 and a half minutes later i took them out and dried them on some paper towel. Fantastic addition to the kitchen
It's super easy to operate and easy to clean and maintain. We've cooked chips, fish and chicken (burgers) so far and everything has cooked really well. Much better than using a fry pan or saucepan - no oil splatter and mess. Feel much safer and the reusable oil box is terrific. Read Instruction first it actually filters and drops the oil in the reserviour below, dont over fill the main pan it makes a mess keeps the oil clean ready to reuse. Be careful reusing the oil the container is a two peice bottle if not over filled its easy to use and washes up nicley. Great idea!
I find Rice Oil to be the best for frying. And with the Oleoclean it is so easy to clean the oil between uses, thus getting more from the oil before needing to replace it. I've even purchase a second tray so that one is kept when I do fish.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to clean, almost everything goes in the dishwasher. The oil container does get a little messy around the opening where the oil drains into but it’s manageable. The drain filter could be more recessed to allow complete drainage of oil, because it is raised a little not all oil drains into storage container.
