I love the animal crossing series!

Now, animal crossing HAS been a bigggg part of my childhood as I've owned the game before (even on other platforms) but let me tell you it's one of if not the best life simulator game out there its so easy to understand even my mom loves the game and we take turns playing; however, my mom ISN'T even a gamer but if she can play the game and love it you can give it a try too you won't be disappointed with how charming and funny the game is. The sole reason it even costs so much is because it's becoming a VERY sought after game still don't let that deter you from picking up any animal crossing game just cuz you can't get the first one cheap.

The game worked once in my wii and now my wii no longer works at all. It's played all my wii and gamecube games for years. 2 hours of this game and my wii doesn't even power up.

  • Nostalgia!

Disc came in great condition. This is so weird coming back to the original when I have been playing the Switch version since April. However, the gamecube holds some of the things I love, such as the police station and Tortimer, even the post office system, that I found endearing and yet the newer versions of the game have mostly failed to incorporate. I love interacting with my villagers, and I love typing in random cheat codes at Nook’s Cranny. Honestly, this game is a good investment. I was sad I lost my copy and glad I was able to replace it.

  • Animal Crossing original game is Awesome!

We had this game when our kids were young and the wife wanted to re-live those times since they moved out, so I bought her this game and a GameCube for Christmas (one of our sons took the GameCube and game when he moved out to Australia....of all things to take!!!), She LOVES this game and even had the memory card from 2001 for this game and was able to continue her adventures and start a new town. I even started playing this game too, and during these stay at home mandates, it is very enjoyable and entertaining (and addictive). Glad I found this on ebay.

  • A Great Escape

With all the terrible news in the world, it great to have a fun, peaceful place to escape to for a while. I recently bought a used Wii and some games that I remembered my son playing when he was little. We have enjoyed this "oldie but goodie" (we have the Wii that will play Gamecube games) and have been playing it every night. I do have a much larger TV than we did back when the game was first released, so the graphics are a little fuzzy on the big screen since the game is not in HD, but that's only when one character takes up the whole screen. During play, the graphics are fine. Sit back, do some fishing, catch some bugs, and then sell your goods at Nick's store so you can buy his wares needed to build your dream home while making some friends in the neighborhood. You can even challenge each other to see who donates the most finds to the museum, and who remodels their home faster. The more you do, the faster you can add on to your house, and afford all the fun things Nick offers in his store. Great game for all ages. We completely understand why this is a classic!

  • Animal Crossing GCN

While dated (almost 20 years old at this point), Animal Crossing is peak comfy early 2000's life sim gaming. There's other AC games out there, with many many more features, but there's so much in this small package that makes it unique and worth picking up.

  • Interesting orgins..

Despite my lack of enthusiasm for the game at first, after playing it, I now start to understand what makes animal crossing interesting. The " fun" of the game is to make your own fun by setting your own goals and objectives, as well as living your virtual town life! A bit clunky by today's standards but I can't believe I didn't play this earlier! At 70$, its a bit expensive for a 20 year old game though..

  • Classic Game!

My 16yo used to play this when she was very young, on my old Gamecube. She was feeling nostalgic for it, so I grabbed an old Wii to play it on (it's backwards compatible). She is having a blast playing it. It's honestly too hot to do anything else this summer. :)

  • Excellent condition for a classic video game.

Excellent product, above and beyond average sale. I appreciate the value and the classic gameplay provided by this original copy overall. Brings much enjoyment and childhood memories about my home. Recommended for anyone above the age of 10 years old, parental guidance suggested.

  • Awesome game!!

This is one of my favorite games. I ♡ it! Great for kids, or adults that like a fun game with no violence. In this game, you are moving to a town and need a home (you name town). This cat character hooks you up with a racoon named Nook that gets you a home, that he is selling. You dont have enough money to buy the house, so as a tutorial of the game, Nook has you work in his store to pay off your house loan. He really doesnt have you do much, just plant some flowers, write a letter, post an advertisement, meet the towns ppl, deliver an item, and do some stuff for ppl in town, stuff like that. It is basically just teaching you how to do some of the required game play, by letting you learn through doing. It doesnt take long if you know what to do, the internet has loads of info. After doing a few things, he tells you he has no more work and you are free to go. You house is small at first..a single room im guessing would be an 8x8. But as you collect fruit, shells by the ocean, dig up items, find items to sell at the dump, etc. you can build up money pretty fast. Then once you pay off your house, you can remodel it, making the main house room much bigger (2 expansions) adding a basement (1 expansion) and adding an upstairs (1 expansion). Each expansion cost money, 24,000 to 798,000 bells (dollars) each. But not to worry.... its not hard to make. You can also get an axe, shovel, net and fishing pole, to cut down trees (you should have a certain number per acre) dig up fossils, which are mailed at the post office, and then returned to you as dino bones and such. They can be donated to your towns museum (you are listed on a name plate, saying you donated it) or you can sell them, once bones (not fossils) to nook for lots of bells (money). You can also dig up special items. All spots that can be dug up are marked. You can catch bugs with ur net, and also donate, sell or release. Once you catch all bugs in the game, you get a golden net. You can fish, also donate, sell or release. Fish range in price from very little, to some ocean fish bringing 3,000-6,000 bells each!! After all fish are caught, you get the golden fishing pole. Dont think you will hurry through this game. The game is real time, so one day in real life is one day on the game. If its 10am at your house, its 10am on the game. You can cheat and move the time up on "other things" at the start menu, and change the time or day by moving it forward. But NEVER move it backwards once you have played a day. Or reset without saving to redo a day. The game will recognize that you cheated and a mole will pop out of the ground and yell at you for doing it. There is really way to much to explain. But we LOVE this game. Its for the gamecube and thats when we first played, but I got a wii that is compatible with gamecube games and we still play this. Up to four ppl in your home can live in your town (Nook has 4 houses) but its one player at a time. each memory card you use can have a town with 4 houses. When two memory cards are inserted, you can ride the train and go to the other memory cards town. Often having different fruit trees. (Your towns fruit is worth 100 bells each. A different fruit from another town is 500 bells if you return to your town to sell it. This game is EASILY worth $20+ if you can find it! Good luck!!
