Just the right size and feature set
It's a shame that Apple has discontinued this device. The replacement is unnecessarily large and is missing the clip that can be used to fasten the device to wherever you wish to wear it. Apple should re-introduce the 6th generation iPod nano and for people who think it's too small, introduce the pedometer and FM radio functions to the iPod touch. I wear my 6th generation nano because it is so inconspicuous and carry an iPod touch for when I want a larger screen or the WiFi and other functionalities.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Small and Compact, But...
This ipod is small, compact, and certainly easy to workout with and run with BUT it is cumbersome to operate. I've never been a big fan of ipods, perhaps this is why. The operation of this thing is just silly. There are too many functions that require 2 finger swiping, or 2 finger sliding, or 2 finger twisting...the menu is ridiculous to navigate and the default settings reset from time to time. I would prefer a straightforward mp3 player with a few more buttons that equate to much simpler and faster navigating.. Old Tech, New Joy
It is so nice to have single-use devices. I run a couple of times per week, and I do not like carrying my phone with me. This little unit has provided my with tunes for my run without having to deal with finicky Bluetooth headphones, arm bands, etc. The sound quality is really solid for such a small unit, and the screen is also pretty nice. Apple doesn't make 'em like this anymore.
I've owned server iPods. For my use, the iPlod Nano 6th generation is the best. Plenty of capacity for songs. Battery life is more than adequate -- plenty enough for a 12-hour hike. Handy clip. Repeat, handy clip. Size of controls is acceptable. The clip on iPod Nano 6th generation allows me to clip my music to my shirt for workouts at the gym or walks and hikes. First things first! Packaging was excellent and item arrived earlier then expected. I have been wearing the nano as a watch and absolutely love it? I had a wireless transmitter which I use when I run so that I am able to use my wireless earphones. I am still trying to adjust the Nike fitness app to record my run accurately.
