  • Basically Super Metroid 2

Super Metroid is a great game and Metroid Fusion stands on the shoulders of it. I remember wanting to play Fusion badly because I had so much fun with Super Metroid. Fusion takes things a step further by allowing some smooth gameplay mechanics with Gameboy Advance's lower button count. The colors are rich and there is some really cool sprite animation that includes simulated 3D enlargement and rotation, which is something you'd see in Genesis games, Super R Type III, or Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The sprites are also a bit larger and well shaded; they look juicier and easier on the eyes. What's different in Fusion compared to other Metroids is that the game gives you clear objectives that tell you where to go next whereas previous Metroids left you to figure things out by searching and discovering on your own. Some may find that detracting but I don't mind it- the element of exploration is still definitely there. Sound effects are great with some satisfying explosion sounds. Overall it shows that the Gameboy Advance is most definitely a capable little system that can have great games.

  • Great game in the series.

Metroid Fusion is absolutely amazing for what it is. While they guide you more in this compared to other Metroid games, it also gives you a better sense of engagement with the more horrorish type elements of the game itself by not leaving you totally lost for long periods (Though you can still get a bit lost!). Now, I haven't finished it, but it's doing a great job being one of my favorites of the 2d Metroid titles! (though the music of Super Metroid is still one of the best!) I absolutely recommend this game to collectors or Metroid fans alike. Buying it on the Wii-U works too, or simply getting it digitally by other means + a flash cart, but I simply HAD to own it myself. Worth it for the current price of $40-50. Easily get your moneys worth for this and Metroid Zero Mission if you're trying to 100% them!

  • The Best Game Of All Time

No, I'm not kidding. I'm not IGN, so this isn't a full review, but damn this is a phenomenal game. Tight, intuitive controls, a compelling story, gorgeous pixel graphics, and the best level design of any game I've ever played. Yeah, it's pretty difficult, but that's not really a bad thing unless you're a little bitch. If you already have a GameBoy you 100% must purchase this game right damn now. If not, consider getting one just to play this game. Absolute essential, 11/10

  • It's a Metroid game, they're all good

Metroid Fusion or Metroid 4 was released in 2002 for the GBA to coincide with Metroid Prime on the Gamecube. Both games are amazing for different reasons. Fusion is a lovely, linear, 2D Metroid game that while not as compelling as Super Metroid, is still a fantastic game that I put many hours in and would recommend to anyone looking to get into the series.

  • Best metroid game in my opinion

Really good game. I personally don't really like games that I get lost in (like the other metroid games), but Metroid Fusion follows a more straightforward story telling you where to go and what to do. Best metroid game hands down and not too expensive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, clenching experience.

  • Horror, sci-if and Super Metroid

If you loved Super Metroid on SNES then this a must own! This is very much a horror game this time around but also has all the key components of Super Metroid. It could only be better if this had come out on SNES as well.

  • Same great game with one flaw

game runs the same the cartridge color is neat the only issue is the game freezes momentarily when using the save rooms. it doesn't crash the game or break the save it just momentarily stutters, other than that great value AMAZING game!

  • Fast shipping and a good price

The game shipped, arrived quickly and in good condition. It was a fairly low quality repo cartridge at least looks wise, but it was very in expensive so I didn't really care. The label was clearly just he box art and was stretched and distorted. The cartridge works fine though and plays the game.

  • It's Metroid Fusion

Took some time to arrive, but it eventually did without many issues. I can confirm that the game does indeed work, but this was a situation wherein it needed a deep cleaning with some IPA and a lot of Elbow Grease. Only thing that couldn't be saved was the label as it was too far gone to be salvaged... But that's why Reproduction Labels exist (Along with a new shell salvaged from a Shovelware GBA game found at a Thrift Store). That said... I really hope I don't have to bid on anything like this again. You guys are Vultures!
