About this product

Product Information

Link your Windows or Mac computer to the ultra-compact, bus-powered Behringer U-CONTROL UCA202 interface. It is a simple plug-and-play USB device; there is no special driver needed or any additional setup. All you need to do is plug the USB cable into the USB port on your computer and start listening to stunning quality sound. The Behringer UCA202 audio interface provides two analog inputs and outputs, as well as an additional S/PDIF optical output for direct digital conversion. It also features a jack for your headphones, and a separate volume control. The stereo headphone output has dedicated level controls that let you monitor both input and output, and the download area offers USB-audio interface connections instantly and outputs stunning quality. You can also download free editing and audio recording software from the company’s website. This device also has a downloadable software package that allows you to start recording and editing in stereo immediately. This unit is a perfect addition for your music accessories for home recording, especially if you already own a non-plug-and-play mixer. The Behringer UCA202 is used on nearly any Windows computer, from XP, Vista, and up. You can also plug it into any Apple computer and get the same instant connection. If your PC does not have a lot of outputs for an outboard system, then this audio interface is the one for you. It also works as a headphone amp, and works great with high-end, studio-type headphones. Connect your instruments, mixer, or microphone to these interfaces. Use them as professional interfaces between your mixer and your console by connecting it to the RCA outputs on your devices. For instance, connect the tape input jacks on your mixers with RCA cables or connect powered monitors to the input channels. If you have 8-track tapes, your player may not have the standard stereo jacks, but it probably has an RCA-style connector. Connect your 8-track player to the interface with the right cable, and convert those songs to MP3 easily. With the right cables and gear, you can also use accessories to convert your vinyl and audio tapes to digital sound files. Connect many older audio devices using the RCA jack, including a film projector, ham radio, shortwave radio, or even your satellite radio or TV. The apparatus is powered through USB, so you don’t need any additional power sources. Make the Behringer UCA202 part of your accessories kit and record music, convert music, or listen to music nearly instantly.

  • Good little device.

I use this device for my home studio, and it works well. I downloaded the AISO 4 ALL driver, and use this device for recording live music through Mixcraft DAW software. My only complaint is not with this device, but more with usb in general, and that is that usb recording can sometimes have a bit of background that is generated by the computer itself. The noise level is not so high as to render these type of devices useless, but it is there. Other than that, this device does everything that it states, and sounds good.

  • Be sure to know (read,search,discover...ask questions) what YOU need!

My usage is not mentioned in the adds! My interest and usage is on the "digital" as opposed to being an analog/digital converter. I will try to explain my "digital path"...Pro DAT (digital audio tape) by TOSLINK/AES EBU.SPDIF. All of these I use in my setup. My fav is SPDIF (Sony Philips Digital Interface. All of this to say "fibre(or fiber...thanks spell check!) optics"...quiet,no noise, cool! For those who need just a cool digital/audio for low bucks this is the balls! Now I only have to get the "last link" for my system is taking the fibre opitic signal to USB and I have found only one in this great big digital world and I will take the plunge. Get the Behringer, I love their stuff and use it everyday...when my wife will let me :)

  • Works Great!

Never before having used this device, I was sceptical about how easy to read the instructions were, how well it performed on my laptop and PA system and would I receive it in a timely fashion. Well, it was a big yes to all of my concerns. My system never sounded better! Bob from Ontario, Canada.

  • I works well for me

I have an older Behringer mixer and I use Audacity for recording. Going from mixer directly into the computer I could not hear the new track while recording it. Adding the usb interface solved that problem.

  • Great USB Soundcard.

First, let me say I bought this to upgrade the sound card on my laptop running Linux (Fedora 25). I use it only as an output device to my stereo receiver, using the analog RCA output. It is plug & play with Fedora. The only "configuration" required is you need to go the sound properties in Fedora's tools menus and select this output device instead of your laptop sound card. Sound output of this card is amazingly better than the laptop's headphone output, especially the higher frequencies. I used to have to jack up the treble with my old card to keep the sound from being "muddy". Doing that increased noise and distortion and made it sound generally poor. Sound from the Behringer UCA 202 is clean and crisp. You also have control of the volume and balance for the line out to match your amplifier's input. (for analog output, not sure about digital output, since I haven't used it.) I also have not used the analog input, but if it works as well as the output, it should be awesome. I also have no experience running it on Windows or Mac. Warning: buy this card and you will never be able to tolerate your laptop's old sound card again!

  • Simple no brainer installation

Legacy audio drivers so installation is stupid easy. When using this it will be seen as a USB microphone. Has pass-thru stereo RCA inputs and outputs so all you’ll need is an additional pair of RCA stereo patch cords. Output of a tape deck plugs into the input of this unit. The output of this unit then connects where the tapedeck’s plugs into your stereo. The usb cord plugs into your computer. Let your computer detect it and it’s done. On your digital editing software choose the USB microphone as your input device and you’re all done. Easy peasy!!

  • Great product!

I used it to connect my laptop up to my analog DJ mixer, and it works great & maintains the quailty of the songs at the higher volumes required for a large venue. This is the second one that I purchased, after I tried it out & saw how well it worked; especially considering its low proce...

  • Simple, yet very valuable tool

I started this whole project as I was looking to transfer various Chicago House Music mix tapes to mp3 format, as I found my old sony walkman from 30 some years ago. I bought a decent tape deck on ebay, and started looking for ways to connect it to the computer. I was looking on ebay at this product, which got great reviews. I figured I would give it a try. It works flawlessly, and took about 2 minutes to hook it up. The sound quality of the recordings are much better than I thought it would be for transferring cassettes. It is also versatile for other areas I have not used it for. I don't rate many products 5 stars, but this product was exactly what I needed, and works great.

  • Simple to setup, simple to use, simply good!

This is a great product. It has run studio grade Sony headsets for many months now with absolutely no problems and the on-board volume control has proven very handy to balance the PC's volume as needed. A good buy!

  • great value - plug & play easy

This affordable audio interface has full native linux support. I am using this uca202 with my raspberry pi 3 running OSMC and recording vinyl records using audacity. Keep in mind that it will not work connected to USB hub, it has to be directly connected to an onboard usb port.
