Easy use, very reliable video stream, built well
I've used 3 different similar devices and this is the only one that has consistent, long term screen mirroring and streaming without problems. Others have stlcreen tearing or signal loss after 1.3 hours or with high definition content or are affected by overheat. This Chromecast is well made to tolerate hard work and still stay consistent. It is all built into a small package too, while others require additional cables, this device only needs a USB and it'll go. I use a short USB to the back of my projector and the modest cast size does not look out of place. I give this a full 5/5 starsVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unstable

Compact, inexpensive with flawless operation
You need Wi-Fi modem/router, Chromecast device, Smart Phone and HDMI port on the TV. I looked into Google Chromecast as an alternative to watching catch up TV on my laptop. When I discovered it would give me all the features of a Smart TV for a fraction of the price ($55), I eagerly placed an order. I now have access to every Internet subscription service such as Netflix and Optus Fetch via my Wi-Fi. This device is easy to setup and get going. You need a smart phone or tablet running iOS or Android and download the Google Home app. I was up and running in 5 minutes and it was so easy to install. It has the same airplay functionality of the Apple TV but refers to it as casting. There are no inbuilt channels like the Apple TV, this is basic functionality only. For under $60 the Chromecast 2 represents fantastic value. It is easy to set up and streams from your phone, laptop or PC flawlessly. High definition is no problem. Easy all rounder
The Chromecast is an easy to install and use media streamer. The only caveat being you need a smart phone but I find that great in so far as I have installed the app on 3 phones and they are now all remotes for Chromecast. World recommend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
