Works Perfectly if Burned Correctly
I used an old LG CED-8083B CD-R/RW drive to burn these discs (at 2X speed) connected via a basic IDE to USB adapter with Nero 14 (with 99:05 over burn and disc at once selected) all on Windows 10. (The LG drive mentioned is one of many confirmed to be able to burn CD-R’s over 90 mins.)
I was able to successfully burn an audio CD-R at 2x speed with 24 tracks for a total time of 98:11. Printed on the CD-R surface with the Epson XP-810 without issues before testing playback.
Playback of these types of over-burned CD-R’s varies from device to device. In my experience, Blu-Ray players and DVD players seem to have ZERO issues playing entire disc.
Some older CD players and CD-ROMs seem to have issues reading tracks past 80 minutes. (Even the old LG CED-8083B CD-R/RW drive used to burn the CD-R wouldn’t play back the entire audio CD.)
