I’ve used the Nitecore NU25 headlamp for night hiking and other general use for the past 5 years. It’s as close to perfect as a gear item can be. Nitecore tried to “improve” the NU25 and of course they made it worse! That’s why I had to go to eBay to find the original model. This is my 4th NU25! I lost one on the Arizona Trail, I still have the other two and they work great. I just wanted another new one before you can’t find them anymore. Read full review

Great features and a slick, practical design. I got it for night fishing, and it’s perfect for my needs. Might not need all the settings, but it’s nice to know they’re there and easy enough to use.

These are the best headlights I have seen, and I've had a few. Small, bright, rechargable with USB is ideal IMHO.
