Hot Gun
Got this to do a modification on hardisk controller and replace bios chip. Seems to work as expected. Hopefully will find more task it can be used for. Quality seems reasonable for the price.

Great value
I bought this to do some hobby smd work and for that it seems like a perfect solution. It heats up quickly and will cool down automatically after a short delay when it's returned to it's stand. I opened it to check inside and it looks to be well made and importantly the earth is connected to it's metal case. The only thing I noticed was that the fuse is connected to the blue neutral wire and not the brown active wire. Apart from this I'm very impressed but it's reliability is unknown at this stage.Read full review

Fantastic value for money and works great!!
I have fund this rework station to be excellent to use. It performs its required task effectively and costs considerably less than other options available. Its only con would be the automatic shutdown process which is initiated when you plave the blower wand in the holder can be a little bit fiddly. But it does work.Read full review

Super cheap. I use it so much now, if I break it I'll just buy another one.
This is one of the handiest tools you can ever own. Since I got mine I have had it down from the shelf every day. Heatshrink, replacing a USB connector, melting plastic, curing glue.

Very poor quality
You get what you pay for. This sub standard unit merely blows hot air enough to melt glue. It'll burn your board before it melts solder. Dont waist your money on this rubbish. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Cheap Chinese made rubbish!Read full review

Smd Rework Station 858D
For the price this item looks really good. And for the few odd jobs I need it for, I'm sure that it will be very good. As we can have much as 248V mains here, I prefer to limit supply to the 858D using a transformer to be safe. (Spec is 220+/- 10 percent).
