Will not work outside China.
This camera is great value, good quality.
Only problem is that it “is not designed for use outside mainland China” and I’m quoting the error code when trying to get it to work in Australia.
The camera will not connect or install on any devices that would normally be used to control it on account of the fact that the software accesses your location and if outside Mainland China, IT WILL NOT WORK! Therefore useless. All the setup instructions are useless also. I tried everything.Read full review

Chinese camera, chinese app. Waste of money
Chinese camera that needs Chinese app to run. No basic IP camera functionality for local Lan. All Chinese app with voice instruction with no English to help setup.

Doesn't work easily outside of Mainland China
New model Xiaofang is hardcoded with inoperable firmware when used outside of Mainland China. Changing the geo-location on the Mi Home App does not overcome this restriction. Can it be bypassed? Yes. Is this an easy process? No. Looks very neat, but can't use it.Read full review
