Can 18 lb of drag handle muskie and giant bucktails? Beastmode!

I am pleasantly surprised. I lined up with 100lb braid thinking it would surely backlash but it didnt . I figured 8 in bucktails with size 12 blades would be 2 much for it but the gearing was stout , and smooth . 3 days and it got its chance to fight, and manhandled a 42 in muskie . Smoothest baitcaster I have tried yet.

I never liked Baitcasters until I tried this one. So much smoother and less likely to birdnest on you than anything I have tried up to this point. I still likey spinning gear for light lures, but this thing is great for anything 1/2 oz or better.Read full review

Damn nice reel!

Took the Black Max fishing today and it did a fine job. I hooked a big bass but the damn thing threw the lure at the last minute. The reel performed perfectly with just regular ole 10 lbs monofilament line. I like it so much bought another, can't beat $32 for a good reel.Read full review
