Very useful charger for the price
I looked at many other chargers. I did a lot of comparing and shopping. One thing I really liked about this charger is that it will charge four d cell batteries at the same time. While it doesn't have all features that other chargers might have, for the money it is a very capable charger and probably all most people need or could want. The charger can charge at 500,700,1000 and 1500mA. It can do a charge test and a discharge test and tell you the batteries capacity. It also shows the internal tesistance. One deficiency is the internal resistance readings which don't seem accurate and they change if you remove a battery and reinstall the same battery. A fairly nice charger, but still a 30 - 40 dollar unit at best. Overall I would recommend this charger if under 40 dollars.. A good budget charger.Read full review

Not recommended for low capacity cells.
Basically, for larger capacity seems OK. The main disadvantage is in lack of low current for charging and discharging. Its minimum of 500mA is not good for batteries like 750mAh that require 75mA charging current.Read full review

A real and complete in every way battery charger!
Works well, getting used to it helps. For example, you will invariably get batteries that are defective from old age on occasion and sometimes if a bad battery is really bad in some way it can shut that charge bay down to protect itself and eliminate a possible overheating a battery like shorted or something and won't charge. Long story short, I have been able to go through my old rechargeable batteries and definitively figure out the bad from the good, this charger has really helped in that way for me. This is what I wanted was a charger that does what it is supposed to and I really like the fact that is does em all, 9 volts, D, C, AA, AAA, and way more, many types that we could ever use, a real battery charger! Oh and, speed of charging my phone is very good, close to as fast as my wall wart that came with my phone and that one is the fastest, and the AccuPower is way faster than charging from my laptop. I have the old model that doesn't have the adjustable sliders for different battery sizes. I bought This new model accupower IQ338XL it is the best in the world so far. This is the smartest and the most information-reach batteries charges to-date.
It automatically IDs battery chemistries (NiCD, NiMH, Lithium). It allows to manually select charging current (so you can run a slow or fast charging cycle).
Also, this charger provides such features as test-charge, test-discharge, so you can run batteries through complete work cycles with full analysis of their states.
You can enjoy a nice, large, bright LCD display that outputs info for each battery placed into this charger.
Springs that maintain contact with batteries are smooth, but strong, so battery of any size can have a good contact. It does not mean that soiled batteries do not need cleaning prior to charging!
Certain rechargeable batteries rejected by other charges can be cycled and restored by this charger.
In total, you have 4 slots for cylindrical batteries and two ports for 9V batteries.
This charger has no cover, but lack of such keeps batteries cooler. Remember that heat destroys batteries, plus excessive heat may cause combustion!
The charger itself has ample cooling grills, so it stays cool all the time. Also, it comes with a single USB charging port, so you can plug in your phone of whatever kind of device that you need to charge externally.

I looked at all available lithium battery analyzer/chargers on the market. This IQ338XL is the best all around for the money! Large display with all information needed for testing and charging! This unit stays cool however, I added a compact laptop cooling fan to set this unit on to extend the electronic components. It is fine without the cooling fan. Read full review
