Good but some iffy stuff with the disks

I am really happy to have purchased this collection. However, already in the second disk there have been times when the episode pauses, and then when it resumes it seems I missed something. In one episode, the video portion was filled with some sort of distortions. As this was a sealed collection, I don't know if it is my DVD player or the disks, but I haven't had any problem with other DVDs that I play on it.Read full review

I do like the show just can’t watch don’t work

I bought this because I knew after my breast cancer surgery I wouldn’t be able to do much but watching TV. There was complications and I didn’t open this for a while. But when I did between the 1st and the 3rd seasons only one disc was working. This was supposed to be brand new but there’s some kind of sticky stuff on the disc I don’t understand. I contacted the seller several times on his page it says all items need to be returned by November 12. Unfortunately with everything going on with my health I didn’t notice that he had a specific return time besides it wasn’t even opened until January. I would like to return it to get my money back I know it’s past the time but under the circumstances we’ve had some serious things happen I would hope you would understand.Read full review

great tv show

i grew up with all in the family and love the show the only issue i had was that some of the disc had minor gltches in them wher the picture would freeze up or stutter

Great show, but DVD quality isn't the best

It is a great show, but the DVD quality is not the best. Several of the shows are very grainy. The volume on the shows vary from show to show, even on the same disc.

Nostalgia at It's Best

My grandmother used to watch this when I was a little kid, and I remember peeking around the banister from upstairs on staircase landing and watching it too! When I was a little boy, I didnt get it, but was curious why she always looked forward to it when it would be on the TV. So, it stuck with me and now as an adult, I see why she enjoyed it. Its pretty risque and certainly could be offensive to the fragile and soft people of today, to be sure, however it carries with it a message of tolerance, understanding, and most importantly, values. All In The Family is the best Norman Lear classic TV comedy that was ahead of its time!! Archie, Edith, Gloria, and Michael each had different opinions and ideas than Archie! Archie's bark was worse than his bite. Edith tolerated Archie, while Gloria and Michael expressed their differences with Archie.
