Compelling Read

I read this book to my son when he was young. Although there was some adult content and language prevalent through out the story, it was still and continues to be a realistic reflection of the world we live in. The character of Socrates Fortlow is embodied with a sense of nobility that is rare in a character that is convicted of murder. Walter Mosley(the author) also gives minor flourishes to the supporting characters that embodies those individuals who inhabit the streets we live on.Read full review
