Excellent when properly set-up.
I had to move the Fire Stick well away from my TV because of electrical interference; i did this with a 1m HDMI extension cable. Because my router is hardwired into my desktop PC which is in an upstairs small bedroom/office, i also purchased a router signal booster for £14 which is plugged in to a downstairs mains elec socket. With this setup I get the same 8.30 mbps WiFi signal at the Firestick as i do at my desktop PC, and the Firestick reports the signal strength as Very Good.Read full review

Amazon Fire TV Stick with Kodi = Excellent Television!!
Dead easy to set up and easy to navigate. There's plenty of information available on the internet on how to get the most out of Kodi, especially the tutorials on YouTube. You need to have a good internet connection though (it only works via WiFi) otherwise I expect it would be constantly buffering. I'm on Virgin 200 (in reality about 50 Mbps most of the time!!) and it works fine.

Over-hyped and expensive to use
The Alexa remote is very good and the unit is easy to set up and basic use is easy. It falls down in 2 areas, the availability of programs and movies and the lack of anything resembling a logical layout of channels. Availability is good if you can afford to pay left, right and centre. Layout is best described as chaotic and there isn’t any guide to tell you where to find things. It only took a short time to get to grips with the controls and even my non-techie husband can navigate around with it. To get the best out of it you really need amazon prime and I would also say netflix - then there is plenty to watch and the music (with words) is great. I now also use it for radio.
