Love my kindle paperwhite,

I have the older first gen. paperwhite and wondered what the differences between it and the 3rd gen. I finally got the 3rd gen. and love it. There are differences that aren't mentioned in any review that I have read. The library has cover pictures instead of just a listing by title and author. I love this change, it makes it easer to remember what the book was about. It would be nice if they would mark the paperwhite on the back as to which paperwhite it is .Read full review

I expected more..

Okay. it works. I can read my books on it. Thanks to "calibre" I can even read my older EPUB-books.
The screen is okay, but I dont see the difference between this 300 DPI screen and the screen on my NOOK I had before. I noticed some dead pixels on this Kindle though.
the price is way to high! luckely I bought it second hand so I'm not that disapointed as I would have been if I had paid full price.
worst thing is the software on it! I updated this machine to the latest firmware (5.9.2) but still not user friendly. it keeps bugging you with this kindlybookstore activities. I'd tot put the machine in airplane mode to keep it quiet.
and WORST WORST WORST of all.. after the update I hadnt had my dutch dictionary anymore. this was included on it before updating.
my advice, go looking for a less expensive E-reader!Read full review

Excellent upgrade

Finally cracked the screen on my old Kindle so decided i was due for an upgrade. The 2nd gen paper white is a fantastic improvement. Better than expected

The product I received was even better than I expected. It even looked in better condition than the pictures showed.

Best of all was that it came with a free cover that I didn't know about, so that was a nice surprise.

I don't use it for more than an hour a day, so the battery seems like it will last for a month on one charge.
