Needs Amazon prime to compete with the rest.

Not that Apple cares about what I think, but, this would be the best media streamer I believe if they would work out an arrangement to stream Amazon Prime. until that happens the Amazon Fire TV box has this one beat. It is still very good and the remote makes navigation easy. It's sad that the battle of the Giant Corporations causes consumers to be left with a less than perfect product.Read full review

The item had a few simple scratches from being used and the remote had some grime on the back (nothing that soap and water didn’t take care of). But it worked beautifully, set up was simple and came with everything as described. I used my previous HDMI cable because the one supplied as the long enough. But I just used that one to install the old Apple TV on another set.

Works better than previous models

The 4th generation AppleTV is easier to setup and works faster than previous versions. It even setup my Vizio tv somehow automatically. I wake the AppleTV with the remote and my Tv turns on and the input hdmi is selected automatically. I don't know if other people have this happen for them but mine does and I love how it works.

The touch mouse is tricky, but you will get accustomed to using it. It downloads faster than previous versions also.

I definitely feel I got a great bargain when I bought it.

The only thing I wish Apple would do is have a master loggin so we don't have to sign into each tv app. Soooooo frustrating!!!

The remote is harder to use

I finally had to go to Discussions on Apple. to ask the question about how to program the track pad speed on the remote. I did get an answer, but have not done it yet. However, this trackpad style will defeat many users who are mouse oriented. I only use track pads, and the speed was way too great for me, skipping past shows I wanted.
Also, Siri, which I use a lot on my iPhone 6 Plus, is iffy. I speak clearly, but telling Siri to go to a certain program on Hulu was hit or miss. Plus, one has to remember all programs by their names to use Siri, when one is accustomed to just finding the pictures or logo.
I am sure this will get ironed out, but for now, my husband refuses to use the new remote, so we are stuck with the old Apple TV...Read full review
