I figured that because it was used it may have some wear and tear (which is completely fine and normal) but nothing! It didn't have a scratch on it and arrived super quickly. Since it was already reset, setup was a breeze.

Bummed

I'm not sure the product I bought was a genuine apple product. It had no paperwork at all. It had no apps on it, unlike previous version with came loaded with apps, the remote doesn't fast forward or fast reverse like the previous model. I can't recommend buying what I bought, if it's the real thing, I'd stick with previous version, I unhooked this new version and I'm back using the old one. Total waste of money. I feel foolish for trying to save a few bucks.Read full review

Nice upgraded options but liked the old menus better.

Feature upgrades are nice. It kind of sucks that information from my previous AppleTV didn’t update with my account onto the new one, and I preferred the old menuing that automatically focused on MyShows and let me choose to look for other things. Almost Perfect, but there is room for improvement

The concept of apps and user controlled content is genius. it started after the original iPhone in 2007 and has made Apple a leader in the mobile business. Apple has taken the Apps success story and added it to the Apple TV 4, brilliant. However, with all the positives about this product there are still quite a few shortcomings. Let me elaborate:

* Setup of the device prior to tvOS 9.1 was cumbersome at best - The lack of Bluetooth keyboards or support from Apple's own "Remote" app on iOS (right before version 9.1 of osTV) was a big letdown. Thankfully the latest version of both allows for an easier configuration then the on-screen keyboard.

* Apps registration (like HBO Go or Showtime Anytime) is very tedious again due to lack of integrated authentication. You have to manually browse to the App's activation website with another device and activate each app. Found trouble with Safari on iOS 9.0.2 on iPhone 6S Plus, and had to use Chrome. - Honestly Apple should cache the login for your TV provider and pass that to the Apps for automatic activation.

* The new remote control feels a little gimmicky to me - there is no fast forward or rewind and former such IR commands will pause playback. Instead there is a "scrubbing" feature with a preview (i.e. YouTube), but honestly I miss regular fast forward and rewind.

* The Siri functionality is great, but alas it works to find only pay content, the searching does not extend to one's own library of music or movies, at least not as of tvOS 9.1

* Switching between Wireless and Wired connections seems to be a challenge as well and while I have both, I cannot seem to be able to switch from Wireless.

* With the games coming out for ATV 4 it would be nice if it allowed the pairing of a gaming controller.

There are some other little quirks, but the ones above are the big ones. In conclusion, I do love that more and more apps are coming out for ATV 4 and look forward to Apple improving on what is a good product overall.Read full review

Fixed my home entertainment connection problems.

I use these at work (on an Apple campus) and they work as a wireless connector from most Apple devices.
For home use, I needed to replace an aging BluRay DVD Player that was not connecting some of the time, and lost signal at others. They had lost ability to connect to some providers altogether, as their licenses ended.
They are not cheap, but Apple TVs will work if you don't have a smart TV.Read full review

I purchased a used unit that had been reset. I was unable to setup using wi-fi. It would not recognize any of my wireless signals. I had to use a LAN connection to my router to pass that hurdle. After the initial setup, now I am able to use my Apple Tv wirelessly.Read full review
