The IPod Apple should have built

Simply stated this is a wonderful upgrade to the later generations of the IPod, and with it's SSD drive and larger battery, this is the product Apple should have built. I am disappointed that Apple has really abandon a true next generation music player in favor of the easy production decision of turning the IPhone into their next generation music player at a higher price point. They have really turned their back in a product that they innovated but have not evolved to push the market forward to accommodate HD music and more DAC processing power to provide better portable music reproduction. They have allowed companies like PONO to enter the market and push the industry.

This upgraded IPod is a wonderful value added product from a smart entrepreneur. Get them while they last - I highly recommend this innovative upgraded product.Read full review

(Sadly) Extinct iPod

How I wish Apple would review their decision to quit manufacturing the 160 gb iPod! I have loved mine since I first received one as a gift more than a decade ago. It has such a large capacity, is small enough to put in a shirt pocket and holds hundreds of audiobooks and/or songs. It is my constant companion.Read full review

I can't really give an in depth review because this was purchased as a gift and won't be delivered until September. With that being said the item looks like new and as far as I can tell also performs as new. I transferred my iTunes content over to this iPod and now have lots of room to expand. iPod nation

I have balked at using my phone for my mobile music and think the iPod classic is the greatest invention of our modern age. I can carry my entire library with me at all times and that includes the hundreds of songs I've written. I think apple should reconsider phasing this product out.Read full review
