Could perform much better.

The ipod arrived in okay condition. You can tell it is gently used. The ipod lags quite a bit when turning it on and skipping songs. You can hear the hard drive 'clicking', which worries me that it won't last long. The battery lasts for maybe 6 hours before I have to recharge. For the price, it is a decent product, but it does not perform like it has actually been refurbished with a new battery installed.Read full review

An classic iPod that still works great for me.

I couldn't be happier. I thought my ancient iPod could never be replaced, and tried replacing the battery in my old iPod but "new" batteries (I don't know how long they were hanging out in storage) did not work. So I started looking for a replacement and found this. I guess I am stuck in my ways because I tend to want to continue using old computers with ancient software, iPods, etc. that have worked for me and don't want to upgrade when what I have used just works fine. OK Deal

I bought the IPod as a gift and while it's a good product, I wished it came with a charger. I feel bad for the person I bought the gift for now has to sped money just to use it.

Truly the best iPod.

Going from listening to music on an iPhone to one of these iPod classics is a HUGE leap in quality. I purchased a used 60gig and filled it with as much lossless (FLAC-ALAC) music as I could. With a decent pair of headphones it's like being in a concert hall with pristine acoustics. The Wolfson DAC (digital to analog converter) really does give everything a warm feel, whether you're listening to metal or singer/songwriter acoustic songs. Personally I feel it's worth upgrading to a solid state drive, which are less likely to fail on you, but the standard HD is fine. This is the best iPod for audiophiles and hi-fi fanatics.Read full review
