Don’t look here for reviews, go read some real analysis/reviews. Arctic silver isn’t the best by today’s standard but it’s one of the reliable good quality thermal greases. The eBay questions asked me if it’s quiet - the tube doesn’t make any noise at all actually. I guess maybe they asked because this is supposed to make your computer quieter - that’s not true. This conducts heat better making your cooking more efficient - that means your fans will shift more heat for the same amount of air but not so much that it will make your computer significantly quieter. Unless you had a lack of proper thermal grease in the first place. It’s a lot better than stock thermal grease - avoid that unbranded stuff, this is the minimum pro solution I would say. If you go for a cheap thermal grease you might as well use cooking oil.Read full review

Good heat bridge

Syringe contains enough for probably 5 or 6 fan cleaning jobs but I just wanted enough for 1.
The syringe makes it easy to apply, the rubber cap means it can be sealed and used at some later date. As the computer is still working it must be doing its job. Note, this was my first try at removing the fan to clean it so quite impressed with the insides of laptop and getting it back together successfully. One of the best thermal pastes

Bought Arctic Silver 5 as this is one of the best thermal pastes around, been using it for years. Came to replace the thermal paste on my PS4 Pro as the fan was sounding like a jet engine and its only a year and a half old. Took the PS4 Pro apart, to find the standard Sony thermal paste has dried up with nothing left on the APU.

Applied Arctic Silver 5 and now the PS4 is whisper quiet. And can barely hear the PS4 when gaming. This truly is one of the best thermal pastes to buy. Cannot recommend enough. Read full review

Does what it says.

After dis assembly of a problematic laptop that over heated and shut down, I applied this paste to the CPU and other chips that had thermal paste (you need to clean and remove old thermal paste well) and applied a decent amount of Arctic silver 5 to each area, the less is more argument is false, you need to apply the right amount and that usually is a tiny bit more than you think for good cooling, good product, just clean the CPU, dust from air vents and fan and other heatsink contact points first by removing old paste and make them a mirror shine with rubbing alcohol and it will do the job well. Arctic Silver is a well established thermal compound used in applications such as GPU and CPU heatsinks. I have used it a few times over the years, and it works consistently. I have been using Arctic Silver 5 on all the family computers for several years now, having moved on from a more generic thermal compound, and always found it was worth a couple of degrees lower temperature on the processors or graphics cards it was used on.

Yes you can buy more esoteric (and expensive!) compounds, but at the lower end of the market, this is king for me.Read full review
