Know your needs & consider using a 100W - 150W LED equivalent
I give this art projector a high rating because it's what I need for my art project - it meets my need. I read some pretty low and maybe unfair reviews of this projector because many who disregard this projector seem to have needs that exceed what this product was intended for. This projector is a very basic, straight forward projector that enables me to get my picture onto my canvas where I trace the large basic shapes and sometimes some smaller details... because, when used correctly, I do get small details in my projections - a recommendation to follow - so that's what my needs are - very basic. In terms of value, with shipping I paid about $70 (Canadian) - half for the projector & half for shipping. I wouldn't go above that because for me, this is a fair price for this projector - I wouldn't pay more because this simply is not a $100 plus product! FYI: Something that helps me get very decent projections is that I use a 100 watt LED equivalent bulb - it looks like a regular bulb so it fits the same but it's brighter than the 60 watt incandescent bulb that's recommended AND the LED 100W equivalent runs very cool, eliminating heat problems some people have had. The LED also maximizes this products efficiency. So far, I've ran my projector with one original for more than six hours straight - I placed my hand on the unit and barely felt warmth & my original was still perfect & also cool to the touch. In fact, LED runs so much cooler that I'm considering going to a 150W LED - they really do eliminate heat issues that in the past limited what this projector is capable of. Anyway, I hope this helps people to decide if this is the right product for their needs and to get the most out of the projector with no heat issues. Read full review

damaged product
I received it with a light bulb shattered. The whole thing was covered with a powder or dust .It was filthy. They didn't warn me a used condition would mean a broken light bulb and crud all over the machine. I wiped off the machine with rubbing alcohol. I'm still trying to find a bulb bright enough that will fit into the small space. If I knew this .....I wouldn't of bought it used...but brand new for a few dollars more.Read full review

Works okay once you get it adjusted to your needs.
The product works well after you tinker a little to get the distance of the device and the focus feature adjusted to meet your image size needs. It does work best in a completely dark room. I think the price
is a little steep for what it actually involves, I mean it is not a super complicated device. To my mind its monetary value is around 30 dollars. Its true value is that it actually does do what it is designed for. Read full review

Autograph tracer projector
While is does what is say it does and is of good construction. That being said, It is very hard to position. It is very light weight and easy to move. Once that happens you will never get the same projection on your canvas again. To prevent skewing on your canvas, you have to have your canvas perfectly vertical. Also if the canvas moves while you are tracing, you probably won't be able to realign it. If was able to try it out before buying I probable would have passed.Read full review

Lightweight with great features
I have seen the amazing things that my friend does with her tracer. I am looking forward to using it for VBS, Sunday School, Awana, and school. It is very light and and easy to use.

Its okay, it was recommended to put a brighter bulb in it, we did, it was also reommeneded to trace in a dark room, we did.
having read other reviews, we got a brighter light bulb was in a very dark room and what I wanted to trace was still blurry, the other product the one you can get for less was probably just as good. It was okay, but I was disappointed it wasn't a sharper image to traceRead full review

i needed to produce couple of art pieces a bit faster and this product has helped me do that.
the product does the job well,my only compliant would be is that you have to pull the lens out so much sometimes to get it in focus that the lens almost hangs off. but other than that i love it easy to use, so much so that both of my sons now are using it to create there art.Read full review

Artograph review
After a couple of issues, e.g. needed to get a plug converter and the globe wouldn't go so at the moment I'm using a lower wattage till I get another. It works well up to a certain size and I'm still getting used to the focussing.Read full review

Artograph Tracer projector
Works as expected. Lens is loose in housing and that makes focusing difficult. Fixed it by wrapping thin cardboard around lens tube. As the description says, it needs a dark room to create a clear image.Read full review

ok for kids, not high quality for detailed work
This product is not worth the retail price of $75.00, nor the price I paid $57. I have the tracer 19" from a 11x14 canvas to make the picture fit on the canvas. The tracer needs to be moved forward and back to get the right location and focus. The focus adjustment is very limited, almost useless.Read full review
