Best for home audiphile
This may not be the best turntable around, but you'll struggle to get better. The only flaw I can see with it is that there's a very slight rumble from the turntable, which isn't noticeable at all when playing records. You won't need a separate Amp as there an inbuilt pre-amp, but you'll need powered speakers & a subwoofer. Go to YouTube to look for professional advice on videos on setting up the turntable.
I'm no professional DJ, but I love my records & take very good care of them. This is my second Audio Technica turntable. There was nothing wrong with the first, I gave it to my daughter. For home use, you cannot get a better turntable, unless you opt for the Panasonic Technics, which will cost a larger "small" fortune. In my opinion, unless you're a professional DJ, this is the best turntable around. Even some DJs would prefer this one too.
You won't go wrong with this one.Read full review

old tech that won't die
The picture does not do this turntable justice, build quality is excellent,
the tone arm feels extremely well engineered and smooth ,the platter is ace ,vinyl is back and
this turntable will prove it, I am running this deck into a JVC AX4 amplifier via the switchable line output
into the phono input on amp , playing into a pair of 15 inch realistic mach one speakers ,you don't get this
feel from digital , 10/10Read full review

Good value for money
Amazing sound, robust and appears to have quality parts, very good value for money! Only used for a few days but so far has been great. Just had to make sure follow initial calibrations correctly and to pay attention to when have to switch for phono or live mode.Read full review

Great turntable.
Great turntable. If you can't afford to go for 1210's, this is a great turntable. Well built, looks great. I bought it so that I can start mixing my records again after ditching an entry level pair of Gemini's a few years ago. I don't have the second turntable yet but there is enough torque in the motor to use the AT turntable for mixing records - obviously not quite the same as say Technics 1210, but you can pick up the AT up for less than half the price. Very happy with it - I'll go for another AT when I pick up the second one.Read full review
