Hard to judge accuracy because my playing partner had an older boblov and the distances between the 2 units when measured together were consistently 4.0m different. whose was correct? couldn't tell. I also had a few problems with the readings as several distances would flash up on the screen consecutively so I imagine the first one shown was the correct distance.Read full review

Could be cheaper in the long run to pay a little extra for the rechargeable battery model

I mistakenly purchased this model. I was looking at another model that had the same features and also a rechargeable battery and forgot to check before buying this model. I was disappointed only for this reason. I hope the batteries last and aren't too expensive to buy otherwise it would have been much cheaper in the long run to have purchased the model with the rechargeable battery instead.
I also found it difficult to hold it steady to get a flag lock, but that's more my fault and will try resting my elbow on my club shaft to see if it works better. Read full review

Why pay for a brand name?

I’m not sure why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars for a rangefinder when the Boblov is easy to use, accurate and has great features like the pin lock an vibrate on lock and a rechargeable battery. I've had 2 different popular model Bushnells and 2 different types of cheap ones but the accuracy was the issue with cheap ones. After losing both the Bushnells since being a regular golfer I thought the time may have come the cheap ones may have caught up due to the technology advance in 2020s and took the risk of buying and tried this one. It was just as good and accurate as the expensive ones and found it to be very impressive. I bought the second one 3 days after for my son as well. The advantage of people leaving reviews about internet purchases is that prospective purchasers can consider them before committing. This is EXACTLY what I did with this rangefinder and I'm so happy I did. It does everything the more expensive one do, at a fifth of the price. It takes an hour to get used to it & after that it only takes 10 secs to get your yardage. Very valuable with greens with false fronts, holes with swails that make the yardage look much shorter ...this device gives you the exact distance to the pin. I am hitting better approaches with it. I normally just use a GPS but have found this range finder better as you can work out lay up distances easier.
