Great Coffee Grinder in Price Category
The grinder is perfect for what we wanted and does a great job. Having read many articles about grinders in this price category this one received the most consistent reviews as the “best” in its class. It’s easy to use, has a small sleek profile that needs little counter space.Read full review

An even and consistent grind makes better coffee.
I had been using another highly rated grinder for several years, but I was not really satisfied with the evenness of the grind. I bought this one based on reviews that lauded the evenness and consistency of the grind.
I immediately found those reviews to be accurate. The grind was easy to adjust, resulted in an even and consistent grind size. Much to my delight, the first pot of coffee made with the coffee from this grinder, and every one since, was much more flavorful and enjoyable than that made with my previous grinder.
I have used it to grind coffee for my Automatic Drip Brewer as well as for my Chemex pour-over. I highly recommend this coffee grinder.Read full review

Near commercial grade grinder, at a very reasonable price
ruggedly and professionally made. Very reliable. And, if problems arise, they stand by their products, providing parts of all sorts and information on how to make repairs, and/or repair services to a degree seldom found for consumer products of this sort.
Consistently makes just the right (per my setting the grind fine-ness) coffee grounds for my needs.
Only "negative"... it's a bit on the loud (noisy) side when grinding. But then... one is only actively grinding for a matter of a minute or less per day.Read full review

Basic and Excellent
Very evenly ground coffee. Dark, oily coffee beans haven't been a problem to grind. Simple on/off power switch--no pre-set grind times.

Love my grinder
I saw The reviews on this grinder and I also saw the cost. Years ago I had a different kind of grinder and it made a big mess so I didn’t opt to keep grinding whole coffee beans. But with all of us staying at home I decided to up my coffee game and bought this. A barista at a farmers market had suggested this one and it has proved to be a very nice addition to my kitchen.Read full review

Awesome!
Totally worth the extra money compared to the cheap $50 grinders. Each granule is consistent in size and no coffee powder stuck everywhere! The machine is heavy and built well. I used a $50 cuisanart grinder for 6 years, and I just wish I bought this sooner!! Two thumbs way up!!Read full review

Ideal for home use
The Baratza Encore performs well. It delivers a consistent grind, particularly if you grind beans straight from the freezer. I use a Chemex pot, and rarely make espresso at home, so I can't address how well the Encore performs on finer grinds.
The only issue I have is that the hopper for the grounds tends to unseat itself during grinding, moving forward slightly. This is hardly a deal breaker but does require a little bit of clean up. If I remember to put a heavy jar in front of it while grinding, problem solved.Read full review
Great entry point for a burr grinder
If you want to make the jump to a better coffee experience the Baratza Encore is a great entry point. Not as expensive as the upper line from Baratza but does the job.

Perfect for home coffee roaster
I just finished cleaning this with a special brush and grindz tablets. Although it took a while to do, it was worth it.
For a small investment, this machine does a great job. Not very loud! Not very messy! The plastic parts chosen to touch the coffee do Not hold a static charge. Don't bother with the lesser machines. They are built to be replaced
. Baratza not only sells you, for a fair price, any replacement parts you may need; it also shows you, in video form, exactly what you need to do to repair your machine.
I could not be happier.Read full review
