Does not pick up movement as expected, constant false alarms

Seem to pick up movement from the smallest reflection in glass, or other sauce, but is loathe to register a person. Although supposed to pick up through 7 inches of brickwork, as all walls are at least 9 inches, this becomes meaningless. Does not appear to pick up a person through two lots of double glazing, and is loathe to pick up through one double glazed window. But will constantly give false alarms. Further, the dog bark the item emits is realistic, but the growl in between is not at all realistic, and spoils the whole effect.Read full review

Ok but could be better

The actual barking on the alarm is fairly realistic but the growl before it sounds very fake. It would be better if the growl was removed. Also my particular alarm didn't seem to work on batteries. Overall, the alarm did seem to work through a door but it did not seem loud from outside, so volume could be higher.Read full review

Does not work.

The alarm comes on OK with movement outside the window and sounds reasonable as a dog barking. But it fails to switch off or reset. Even if you leave it with no movement near it it continues to bark. I left it for 20 minutes and it would not go off, which really annoyed the neighbours dog. I also tested it indoors where it would not be able to detect further movement after initiation with the same result. The only way to stop it is to turn it off. A waste of money.Read full review

This is a replacement for an earlier model which gave years of service but finally just died. This model is much more convincing and also has the option to use batteries. Required a little experimentation with positioning and volume level. Very realistic barking and it also gives a serious growl. Read full review

If you need a fierce dog to get rid of unwanted callers, this is it.

This is a brilliant warning device that has already seen off one guy and the policeman who came to look at my security around my property.
The sound it emits is frightening to anyone who comes down my drive and because it's an Alsatian the barking is so real.
The only downside if you can call it that , is the power lead could do with being 2-3 times longer than it is so it can go in places where there are no power points.
