The SD8 takes the guts of Behringer's X-Air series - Midas-designed preamps, AD/DA conversion, and Ultranet distribution, and ties it to an AES50 interface so that you can expand your X32/M32 mixer. The small size and rackmount options allow you to place it where it's needed.

This is a particularly nice add-on for the compact/rack/producer units who need the 8 extra analog outputs.

Best bang for the buck. Easy to use, light and sturdy. you can beat this box price...best bang for the buck.

The SD8 stage box will sinc to anything with AES50, so if you have midas or behr you are good to go. its light, sturdy and very well protected even though it comes with brackets to be mounted if you desire it to. I tested both AES50A-B and the sinc was instantly...green light will display. the output switch works and the ultra net to sink with p16 on stage its also flawless. I love that it comes with 2, so my guitar and keys can split their inputs and one for the drummer. Why sd8 and not sd16? because I can drop one per side of the stage and patch it with a cat5/6 and save even more copper runs. I tested it with 50ft and 100Ft will test with both patch for a 150 total ft distance. the different with this box and the s16 or dl16 it the clock/time/master. with the sd8, your console will always be the master clock which is exactly what I like about it. great price and it will make your compact consoles fully featured with more out/imputs. just love it...btw the is the equivalent of the RIO VS TIO boxes from yahama...Read full review
