Makes great biltong but a bit frustrating to use

There is no doubt that this biltong maker produces really nice biltong. I have loved using it. My only negative comment is that the plastic rods which run across the maker and upon which the meat is hung to dry tend to pop out of the small holders on each side if you need to reach in at all to move something for any reason. Once this happens the meat on that rod falls to the bottom and it is difficult to extract and re-hang without knocking more rods off at the same time.
Other than that, love using this maker and the biltong even more!

Biltong king maker

The biltong maker is good in concept, although has a few flaws in that when hanging the biltong on the hook and rails , if bump it rails fall off their grooves

Is only all plastic and am not sure is good value for the money being asked either
Meat came out ok , need to cut thin as up to 2cm thick not too good
Electrical cord could also be a bit longer would be an advantage tooRead full review...

Great Product for Biltong

I have just used the Biltong King to make my first batch of biltong and it has turned out great. Easy to use and keeps the bugs out, haven't had any issues with mould either.

Works great and sets up in minutes. It's a bit flimsy and you have to be super careful not to let the rails fall off or the walls pop out but it's fine if you don't mess with it. Does the job well.

I have used this at room temperture around 21 degrees. We live in a dry mediterranean climate. The meat dries in 2 days. No strong meat smell.
