Blackhawk Axiom Rifle Stock Weatherby Howa Long Action

Great Adjustability!

It fits my Weatherby Vanguard long action rifle perfectly and the pull length adjusts easily and securely. I mentor new hunters through the First Hunt Foundation, and put this stock on a rifle that I use as a "loaner" for new hunters, so it needs to have the wide range of adjustment of the pull length this stock offers.
The negatives are minor:
It came without directions or the installation tool necessary, but the instructions can be found online, and they sent me the tool when I called (it took them two tries to get me the right tool).
It's very light weight which makes it easier for a small person to carry, but weight reduces recoil, and recoil (flinching) is the biggest issue I have to deal with for new shooters.
The forend is relatively flexible, which will not help accuracy. I may stiffen the forend with microballoons in epoxy, or even add some significant weight.Read full review

Great fit and super functional!

The Blackhawk Axiom stock fits my .300 Wby Vanguard action perfectly. Not only is the stock lightweight, the pistol grip also fits my hand like a glove. Shooting the .300 Wby now is actually fun without the big recoil it delivered before. The axiom stock has reduced the recoil back down to between a .243 and .270 kick. Shot twenty rounds through it at the range the other day, shot a great group with no pain or bruises to my shoulder. The Blackhawk Axiom is a great addition to any rifle you want to reduce the recoil for and looks sharp as well.

Good stocks

The stock for the price cannot be beat have yet to see if it will hold up to The Recoil of a magnum however it is very light very adjustable and looks aesthetically pleasing the gap between the stock and the barrel seems like it will have a tendency to get caught in the brush so maybe not a good brush bearer stock.Read full review
