Compact but could sound better.....

The Bose Solo 5 is a decent sounding unit. I needed a compact unit to fit on my bedroom chest so it fits the bill. Don't get me wrong, the sound is pretty good even if a bit muddy in the mid range. Considering the price, it should sound better but the sound quality is limited by the compact size of the unit. There is a bass boost and a voice amplifier that work well. Set up of the universal remote (included) can be confusing but eventually I figured it out. As far as I can figure, this speaker must be connected by an optical or analog cable. It's a Bose

Great sound, excellent bass, love the remote. Very easy to set up. Replaced RCA soundbar with a sub. Couldn't believe I thought it sounded good. The Bose has much better bass and the dialog feature is unbelievable. Works very well with all my Bluetooth devices.

Average soundbar

If you are looking for a loud booming theater sound then this soundbar is probably not for you, it is an upgrade from the speakers that come with a TV. I'm disappointed that the sound, bass & dialogue feature does not have a scale that shows up on your TV screen so you can see your settings. I'll use it because I have it hooked up & the sound quality is a little better but if I had it to do over I wouldn't waste my money. Lastly the universal remote pairs well with the TV, cable box & soundbar so I only have one remote on the table.Read full review

Small in size huge in sound!

This Bose unit is awsome!!! The sound is great! The only thing I dislike is the remote control. It is a huge universal remote which if you set it up works ok. I would rather have the on off remote because it can take several trys to power on. I use the optical output and the sound will fill the room.Read full review

Excellent System with Great Clarity

I wasn’t expecting this sound-bar to have much of a punch without a subwoofer, but it really does do a great job of packing a punch. It can fill any medium size room effortlessly.

Only downside to system is the remote. It’s a bulky remote that doesn’t match well with smart TV apps.Read full review

Good sounds but .....

This is 2nd TV sound bar I bought, when I hear the demonstration in a shop the sound is loud and clear. Connected it with my TV it works OK, however it has the same issue like many other TV sound bars are the sound not loud enough, even I turned the volume to maximum it's only loud enough if you are sitting nearby the TV, not outside the room. It's the issue of most TV the sound output is not loud enough to get the sound bar amplify the sound. Because when I connected the sound bar with bluetooth from the cell phone, the sound are good and loud all over the house.
Overall suggest everyone who want to buy a TV sound bar, better to get a receiver instead of sound bar.Read full review

What can I say, it's a Bose!

It's a Bose so of course it has great sound. It's very basic but I guess you can't expect much for the price. I don't like that there's no volume or bass level indicator that shows up on Tv screen. I was surprised it didn't turn up louder. (It's loud just wanted to see how loud it would go). Also bass doesn't go up as much as I'd like it to.
