Not if you want it for cutting freshly baked bread into slices

I bake our own bread and as the last electric knife I had stopped working I had to buy a new one and chose the Breville as per reviews replies.
The Breville does not cut a freshly baked bread loaf cleanly. It tears at the bread and has a poor cutting action, It is the wrong knife for my application.Read full review

I purchased this knife and it's larger motor as I have an ongoing injury to my shoulder that worsens cutting my sourdough bread manually. This purchase was a waste of my money and effort. This knife has a hard time cutting through the crust, the motor labours going through bread, so I'm wondering how it would perform when I use it for something more substantial. Doesn't cut pumpkin. Not much use really.

It's only cuts items I can cut without an electric knife. I had great hopes it would cut pumpkin with the skin on which is how it is sold here. It doesn't, barely even dents it.

4th loaf of bread cutting using a cutting guide and failed, stick with sunbeam, I got 4 years out of my sunbeam before it started getting a hot smell, this useless thing seemed to struggle from day one, and then bang. Wtf. Read full review

Disappointed

Bought this knife with careful consideration after having my previous one since 1975. I hoped it would be as good but I am so disappointed. The handle is large and hard to hold and the blades do not cut very well making it difficult to cut meat thinly
All in all I think it is an expensive piece of rubbish and doesn't do the job it is supposed to do.Read full review
