A water filter, not to be used for filtering the red out of diesel and recolouring it green.

It filters water, just as it was designed too. I wonder what genius decided to get a review on it. Were they expecting the nationally certified water to come out in some obscure colour or taste like wine. As for cleaning I was unaware it could be cleaned. I thought it was a one of use and throw away item as no instructions for cleaning were included. Do I cut it open, wash whats inside and reseal it some how. Read full review

Expensive but do a good job.

Pretty good, we have very hard water and a Brita filter works well to stop the scum on top of tea and coffee. They also keep the glass kettle nice and clean between its regular cleans with white vinegar. They're supposed to last 4 weeks but I find they tend to stop working as well after about 3 weeks, which is still a good week longer than the compatible water filters.Read full review

Brita Maxra filters.

None of the above apply; this is a replacement filter for a Brita filter jug and fits no other. These filters do not fit the jug as well as previous filters that I have had and tend to 'float' from their housing thereby rendering them useless for their intended purpose. I have never had this problem previously with Brita filters, maybe this is just a bad batch, only using the others in the pack will prove it one way or the other. For this reason I cannot recommend this supply and have de-rated it accordingly.Read full review
