Save Money; make your own!

The product works well but is extremely expensive. You can make your own. Buy a $6.00 bottle of tea tree oil from the whole foods type store and take paper towels torn into 2x6 strips. put 8 oz of water in bowl and start with 3-4 drops of TT oil....no more. you must get used to the strength as it burns your eyeballs like lye soap would do. heat the mixture in microwave until comfortably warm and dip in pad and use as lid scrub. i do this three times a day. fantastic results...costs almost nothing~!Read full review

by TOP CRITICAL REVIEW

I believe the product could be of help, but my skin too sensitive to the tea tree ingrediant

I believe the product could be of help to reducing bacteria around the eye, but my skin is too sensitive to the tea tree ingrediant, and caused redness for a couple days. I think that if reducing bacteria around the eye in anyone's individual case will make that individual's eye discomfort / dryness less of a problem, and make eyes more comfortable, and have to use less artificial tears/ and or lipid oil eye drops, the cost of the product could be justified.

I will say that the pad/wipe is well soaked, so either one whole pad or a half of a pad (put the other half back in the package, place inside small clear sandwich bag, and cover entirely in reynolds wrap until next use) all using clean hands, there is enough liquid on the pad to do both eyes, and above and below and to the side of the eyes.

If you need to use some type of eyedrop very soon after using the Cliradex, best to ask your eye doctor about whether Cliradex is right for the individual.

Very expensive but good

There is no question that Cliradex is a very expensive item. However, you are treating your eyes and there isn't much of a selection for this type of product. There is no question that my eyes feel refreshed and clean after using Cliradex. My doctor recommends this and that makes me confident with this product.Read full review

Got Mites?

Eye doc recommended it to clear up sleep (crystals) in corner of my eyes when I would wake up in morning. Since using this product no longer have that problem. Minor sensation of stinging when you rub it on, but nothing to really complain about, especially since it works.Read full review

Eye Issues

Although I have used the Cliradex for more than 6 weeks, I still have the eye issues with demodex mites. The wipes really help the burning and puffy eyes, but don't seem to get rid of the mites that are causing the problem. They are very expensive and since my ophthamolgist suggest I use them twice a day, it almost impossible to be able to afford to use them indefinitely. I am glad to find them for the relief they provide, but would like to find something that can take care of the problem!Read full review

Hopeful it will help

The science behind this product makes sense. (Scientists isolated the active ingredient in tea tree oil which kills demodex living in the base of lashes.) I've been using it for two weeks and haven't noticed any change in my dry eye symptoms.
Am dividing each wipe in six so the box will last six times as long. (They're expensive.)

Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! (Do I sound like Lawrence Welk?)

The only improvement I can see made in these wonderful towelettes is to make them a little bit larger! Other than that, they are of great quality.

Great feature but way over priced

The good thing is that Biotissue has developed a good product for multitude of difficult problems. The bad thing is that they are ripping of their customers who are is desperate need for their product.Read full review

The best treatment for Demodex

Demodex mites are living on every human being. They live in the hair follicles of the face and scalp. At night, they are active crawling around and feasting on the oils on our bodies. Since they have no anus, they do not get rid of waste. Instead, they die. It is horrifying when you see them under a microscope.
Most times, the colonies are under control. But occasionally, they will become a problem causing the following symptoms: feeling of sand in the eyes, eyes burning, lots of "crust" in the lashes when awakening, and chronic red eyes.
Tea tree oil is the treatment of choice by doctors. It is antiseptic and kills the mites on contact. However, it is terribly irritating and can damage the delicate skin especially around the eyes if not used properly. Cliradex contains tea tree oil in convenient single pack wipes. Twice a day, you simply wash your face with a gentle soap (can use baby shampoo), dry and gently wipe your eyelids and lashes (with eyes closed) from near the bridge of the nose to the opposite end.
Most infestations are cleared up in about a month. Severe infestations may take up to three months.

Great! Cut in half & use 1/2 AM, 1/2 PM. Itch gone!

Great! I cut each packet in half & use 1/2 AM, 1/2 PM. The intense itch is gone! It does stink & makes my eyelids burn when 1st used, until it dries. It does nothing for my dry eye condition, but I didn't expect it to. I'm very happy with the product.Read full review
