The Writer and the Investigative Reporter

I can see why Delinsky said this book is one of her favorites. Sabrina's child was severely retarded. She took care of him 24/7 for 3 years. Her husband was too embarressed and selfish to realize that his son was retarded. He said Sabrina was different from when he married her. She was very different but the baby was just part of it. She knew Nicholas was not interested in saving their marriage. He wanted a amicable divorce which suited Sabrina fine. Sabrina was faced with institutionalizing Nicky (son). She was worn out from caring for him and he was getting no better which meant help was needed. Sabrina had met Derek McGill who wanted to write an article on caring for Nicky , but Sabrina refused. Derek sympathized with her and could not understand how her husband could be so distant from her and his son. Derek wound up in prison for a crime that was self defense. Sabrina visited him and began to reach out to him. This is a great story and highly recommended.Read full review
