Ender 3 Printer - setup tips

Fabulous printer. Easy to assemble. Once calibrated it produces some of the best PLA prints I've seen and I have 3 other printers, most more expensive, to compare it against.
Would make a great first printer or as in my case an additional printer dedicated for printing of miniatures.
So would I recommend it, well YES. At this price point it's hard to go past it.
Just take your time with the assemble, DON'T tighten all the nuts to the very last thing. Be sure to square everything up then do your final tighten.
If the bed had the wobbles use the concentric nuts on the rollers to reduce the wobble. Remember to heat the bed then level (tramm) and be sure to set the nozzle height to the thickness of a sheet of paper. If you've completed these steps correctly you should be good to go. 3D Print fixes for your 3D Printer.

This is great value because of the low price however it seems that you can have random issues with these printers. Mine had binding on the Z axis, the Y axis stop was way out so the home position was in mid air and the bed wheels were clunky. Fortunately you can print yourself fixes for your 3D printer which is way cool. So after that it works remarkably well.Read full review

Ender3 printer not bad but not perfect i like a challenge.

This not a beginner item. Building the printer was fairly straight forward but the firm ware contained no bed leveling option an had to be done manually by disabling the motors. Accuracy of the prints also takes some setting up. At first the x dimension was out by 0.2mm and holes were oval. This turned out to be a mechanical issue lumpy rollers. Final accuracy is now down to 0.1mm not really engineering level but ok for hobbyist and enthusiasts alike.Read full review

awesome little tool

unit came packaged well supplied with required tools for construction. took only 1 hour to thoroughly put together making sure everything was lined up and tight.

pros are the price and the quality. keeping the unit fairly stock has resulted in some awesome prints.

cons are the supplied filament is just enough for a test print. would like to see a 500gm roll in the kit so new owners are not caught out if they cant get filament locally.Read full review

Good Entry Level 3D Printer

Well Built, with enough software to get you up and going, though not enough filament to run the test model, you will have to buy more to get going in 3D printing. It comes in parts ready for assembly so a self build process is involved, there are good instructions with printer, but plenty of videos online to help with the process.
The 3D printer is just the end device to a whole creativity process starting with 3D design, then "slicing" and finally the printing. So as a toe dip in the waters of 3D printing, you cant really go wrong with this printer. There is plenty of youtube support for his device as well as 3d models to download and print from the internet.Read full review

Awesome Machine For The Price! Excellent Starter

Bought this printer for my entry into the 3D printing world. Easy enough to assemble (couple of hours) print quality is great, better than I was expecting from a cheaper printer. Will take some time to get used to levelling, Be be patient, watch heaps of YouTube!

Great value for the build volume

Compared to most creality printers, this is quite solid out of the box. I own several of them and they take very little tweaking to get printing just right. This is an easy printer to assemble.

Great Machine.

It was easy to assemble, and quick. Everything fitted well. The instructions were wrong in one place only: the location of the Z-axis limit switch is not 32 mm above the bottom of the base. The tab on the limit switch housing should bear on the upper surface of the frame.
The optimum location for the Z-axis stepper motor is not explained in the instructions. The stepper motor holding screws should be tightened with the nut wound down manually to the lowest possible position.
The print quality so far has been excellent with the 40mm calibration cube being exactly 40 mm though printed holes are generally about 0.5 mm smaller than designed.Read full review

Cheap good 3D Printer that needs a few kinks fix 1st

Nice entry level 3D Printer

This is a great product for the price. It took about an hour to set it up out of the box.

It is fairly easy to use and makes very accurate detailed products. The main downside is that this printer is not particularly fast and large complicated jobs can take many hours to complete.
