Great reel for the money

I bought two of these reels to use with my 15' surf rods. Have used them twice and really like them. For the money, they are a great reel to use and are strong with the use of my rods. They are all metal which I like; hate the compound ones, dont last. I would recommend this reel for a person who loves to fish and dont want any problems.Read full review

Solid, heavy, huge and well built reels, and the price is even better! Recieved my reels a week before it was expected. On hand it feels solid and as expected from daiwa, it runs smoothly. Highly recommended. Mind you this reel is built for long distance casting with 14' to 15' rods. Excellent line lay, keeps you off backlashes. Drag runs smoothly, not tested against 33 lbs fish yet, but will definitely hold well vs my normal 8-15 lbs's. I have bought 5 of these reels in the past year and have had no complaints. I use these for fishing on the surf in Texas. I use 25lb test which gives me close to 275 yds of line. I have all on 10ft surf rods. They have all performed very well.Read full review

Great for the price!

Great quality and awesome price! Bail is a little shallow but it makes for great casting. I can fit about 400yds of 50lb braid on it and with a 12ft surf rod can cast a little over 100yds with it.
