The saw I’ve been waiting for!

Box came damaged, but tool and battery inside were intact. Charged the battery and away I went cutting! This is the easiest to use chainsaw I’ve ever owned and has plenty of power and range with the 3ah 60v flex volt battery. I use chainsaws several times a week and after using this I’m never going back to mixing gas and pull starts. Read full review

For very light duty only---cheaply made, poor design.

Reviewed after previous review. Should have used the product longer before reviewing it. Product is ok for 2 hours ..of very light duty. Then the fun begins. Chain will not stay on drive sprocket as it binds between a cheap washer and the drive gear. The bar will not stay tight. Have to re-tighten every 5 minutes of use. The oil filler recess collects junk that falls in to oil reservoir. A positive is it does have good cutting power---but if the chain will not stay on what good is that? Very cheaply made with areas of very poor engineering design.Read full review

Better than a gas saw, shorter run time, but less hassle.

Reliable and convenient for the typical home owner. Battery gives you about a half hour of cutting, so that's the only drawback. Even with that, the saw is just as powerful as a similar sized gas saw without all the hassle. If you only cut up branches and trees once a year or so a gas saw is a nightmare. Messing with fuel, why won't it start, my skins peeling off from pulling this darn cord a hundred time....uggg.... Well, not with this saw. You put the battery in, and it works. Make sure it's full of chain oil, but that's it. Works. Period. The only way to fly. In the future, I hope batteries get cheaper, that would make everything better...a second battery. Useful chainsaw with good value

As an experienced logger I can say this saw is easy to use and has good power. I like that I can use it inside my shop without exhaust fumes. I haven't recharged the battery yet because after a half hour of work it's still fully charged. Read full review

Great saw

I will never use a gas powered saw again. This saw chewed through all the logs I set up and of all sizes. I made at least 50 cuts and still had plenty of fuel left.

Good gas alternative

Cuts well, read the manual to keeping chain tension (chain doesn’t keep coming off with proper tension). Chain oil consumption is quick filling twice during the life of a full charge. Get another battery if you plan on sawing continuously. Can get stumps low to the ground, light and easy to use. Don’t anticipate cutting a 2 foot diameter tree down.Read full review

Perfect for what I need

I own basically every 60v Dewalt tool and bought this just to cut up firewood at the beach and have huge beach fires in the summer and it far exceeded my expectations.
