Battery charger.
Battery charger. This is not a very good charger. It does charge the batteries, but you have to time the charging. The warning in the box, says it could over charge, and may cause a fire. Most charges I have had before, shut them selves off. Cheaply made, but it does charge the batteries. Read full review

I have purchased EBL batteries in the past, and am very happy with there performance. I have also purchased an EBL 8 slot charger for AA/AAA. My previous charger had overcharge protection and the lights would turn green when the batteries were fully charged. This 4 slot charger for the C batteries is awful! It does not have overcharge protection and the lights do not turn green when charged. Read the instructions carefully it explains this. I am afraid to use this charger unattended because I would hate to cause a fire. Save yourself the grief and buy a slightly more expensive charger with overcharge protection. I wish I knew this about this charger before I purchased. As I would not have bought it. I hope this helps you. Read full review

Slow Slow Slow
This charger light stays on at all times. It will NOT overcharge your batteries but not having the charger light shut off is not good in today's day and age. EBL is a great company look for a newer model in the 900 series that has smart charging features. And this is a slow charger. There is a way to calculate charge times but it is a pain in the #%@. But these are cheap price and dont make them anymore. This is old stock. I'm not worried about fast charging so I just throw my batteries in and leave them there for a full 24 hours to make sure they have a full charge. Like I said the unit will not overcharge your batteries. The light basically is saying that you have a battery connected that is all. Stupid huh.Read full review

Some people may think rechargeable batteries are too expensive but if they buy rechargeable batteries for this charger to charge them, they will be surprised when they find out that they don't have to buy anymore regular batteries. Very slow charger
I didn't realize that it would take days to charge each battery. The paperwork that comes with the charger contains a formula that you use to determine how long it will take to charge. It charges very slowly, like a trickle charger. However, you are not to let it keep charging. You are told to figure out when you need to turn it off and do it manually.Read full review

Replacement for 2.5 year older unit
Better at restoring cells run totally empty or left a year not charged than several chargers we had 3 years ago. Replacement for same model that was used 2.5 years before internal controller failed. Worked fine till 1 day it lied about how many cells were in which terminals. Satisfied enough to buy a second unit as replacement.
