Great entry-level ultrasonic cleaner
This cleaner works as stated but note this is an entry level device. This means that all the features work but there are more sophistocated models available at higher cost. Things to note; 1) the distribution of the ultrasonic effect is not completely even throughout the tank, but cleans well, 2) the heater can take up to 50 minutes to reach the 35C temperature I require (baseline temperature typically is 22C), 3) the build-in thermometer under reads by between 1-2C (I use a separate thermometer), and 4) it is no noisier than other models I have used. I tested electrical safety and all is OK. Basically does its job.Read full review

The 6L Ultrasonic cleaner
Subsonic is more like it, all i can surmise is the transducers are not properly glued on, there's too much epoxy glue and it acts as a insulator instead of a contactor. This thing barely ripples the water and the only real cleaning action i observed was from the soap in the water.
In a true ultrasonic you can see the cleaning action take place, the dirt literally moves from the object into the water and you can observe that. This machine displays NO ultrasonic action.
My plan is to cut the transducers from the bottom of the pan and try and reattach them so they have a more positive interface, hopefully this will allow more sound waves to transfer through into the water and make something happen.

Reasonably priced
This ultrasonic cleaner appears to be just the ticket. It's reasonably priced and of good quality construction. The controls are easy to use.
From my experience on the first use, the controller overshoots temperature quite a bit and is not real accurate. The setting of 70 degrees C, took two hours to reach temperature and overshot by 7 deg C. There was only 5 cups of liquid in the tank. Actual temperature reading using an Omega handheld with 1/8"ss probe showed the actual temp was about 6 deg C over the displayed temp.Read full review

Glad I picked this over the smaller unit. I am using this to clean gun parts and the larger size works well with an AR15 bolt carrier. I use distilled water and Simple Green Pro HD. Be sure to get the parts dry after to prevent rust from starting. I only use it to clean the barrels and recoil springs of pistols. I won't use it to clean the slides unless I take the whole slide apart so as to not trap fluids in with the firing pin. The higher timer setting is great as it took over 20 minutes to clean 3 barrels and springs and the upper of my S&W Victory 22. Check out all the ultrasonic videos out there. It is worth the cost, good solid construction. Heater works. Sonic works. Easy to use. I think it is a very good machine and highly recommend it. One small thing about a future design consideration: recess the water drain just a touch to help the water flow out when emptying.Read full review

E-Juice mixing w/ ultra sonic cleaner.
I use this item for my DIY e-juice mixing. It dose a grate job of it ! I set it up on 50 deg. C and 30 min. I do this 2 X . Take them out and let it cool. After juice is room temp. I take all the caps off and let them breath for 2hr. Put caps on, stick them in a card board box , tape it shut, and in about 2Wks. ya have some of the best DIY juice i have ever had.I was able to put 24 - 30ml bottles in it, standing top up w/caps on and water up to the shoulder of the bottles. The cleaner has a loud buzzing metal bumble bee sound , i put it in the basement bathroom level w/the sink so i could take advantage of the ballcock drain valve . Buy the way the drain valve WILL NOT LEAK . A added plus is you can clean your wife's , girlfriend's or both's Jewelry "if you don't get busted" and they will love ya for it because it duz a fantastic job of it, if you put a little ammonia and water in a good Ziploc baggie and drop it in hot tap water " oh yea it helps if you preheat the water but you don't have to" It only takes about 20min. If you were thinking about getting one for e-juice making I say GO FOR IT!!! You are saving a boat load of money anyway buy DIY and it saves all that shaking time !!!Read full review

6 Liter Ultrasonic Cleaner - well made, great value
These inexpensive Ultrasonic Cleaners seem to be well made, and work as advertised.
The controls work nicely, the cleaner cleans well, it appears to be well made. It is a great value for a reasonably powerful cleaner, much stronger than the ones available at retail tool and hardware stores.
That said, they are not suitable for every task as they are fairly basic with no sweep or degas function.
This means that there is a possibility of damage to more delicate items, like circuit boards.
The timer is limited to 30 minutes, which is probably a good thing because the unit will heat up the water fairly quickly even with the heater off as the 180 watts of cleaning power creates about that much heat.
A word of advice: These things are loud, but you can't hear most of the sound as it is ultrasonic. Since you have no way of gauging the loudness, it is best to wear ear protection and to leave the room when it is running.Read full review
