Garmin nüvi 260W Automotive Mountable

OUTSTANDING GPS!

My 2nd Garmin Nuvi 260w. Purchased it for another vehicle. Really like that the unit is very easy to operate. Even novices can figure out how to operate it without having a tech person on speed dial. When I purchased my 1st one I didn't realize that it would have a calculator, currency exchange APP., etc., but I welcomed them. As a senior citizen, I would definitely recommend

Battery lasted pretty long, about ten minutes.
Unit acquired satellites in five minutes.
Maps cost $50 to update. Next time,

The GPS will not acquire a satellite. Placed next to an old model Xgody 704 GPS I drove 97 miles and the Garmin never saw a satellite. That seems to be the problem with this type GPS. I have two both sworn to be good and neither work. At least I have a power cord to charge the battery.Read full review

It works

It works fine. It's just a little slow finding the satellites. My Magellan is faster at finding the satellites.
It does plan routes out a little better than my Magellan.
