Gunsmoke still a winner
Gunsmoke was and is the best Western series ever produced. The characters have been a part of alot of peoples lives for more years than they were in production. I am one of those people. No other series or group of characters can even compare to Gunsmoke. The stories are sometimes serious and sometimes funny. I am lucky to be able to own them. Read full review

We are definitely fortunate that the studio preserved the original film and went to great lengths to carefully transfer each episode to DVD.

A great DVD box set!
I bought this because I love watching these shows on TV but got tired of all the commercial interpretations. It's good to have the complete series in one box to watch as my time allows. Well worth the money
I’ve been looking for Gunsmoke on dvd for most of my adult life and so finding a complete box set for sale (even from America) was an amazing find.
It was a bit of a considered purchase, coming in at almost £200 Stirling but when you work that out, it’s only around £10 a season. You do have importation tax to add to that though but it was still a bargain for me because I really, really wanted it.
The entire process of buying from abroad was also very simple, and I could track my purchase from beginning to end. It actually arrived day’s earlier than was stated.
The DVDs themselves are absolutely brilliant and just as nostalgic as I remembered them. I’m enjoying every single episode.

Gunsmoke collection and shipping damage
Dvd video and content high quality. Dvd labeling is very hard to read and inconsistent making it harder to sort and find specific disks. Shipping packaging is a single thing cardboard box and substandard. Package was received with one corner damaged causing some damage to one of the dvd holders. Considered returning but found no damage to the DVDs and I wanted to start watching without delay. Though several holders were cracked and broken but i believe I can stablize them with hot glue to prevent further damage. The set complete and for watching, not just a collection to leave setting on the shelf so I can live with the damage.Read full review

If You Are A Long Time Gunsmoke Fan, This DVD Boxset is a Must Have
The DVD box set is complete with all the episodes I remember as a child watching. The only problem I see is the packaging that binds the DVDs to each box fall out are only held on by heavy tape like shipping tape. I would have given this a five stars otherwise. This aspect of packaging is the only flaw I can see with the boxset, but the DVDs are quality and were remastered for maximum enjoyment. For the price, I can't complain.Read full review

I purchased this complete set of Gun Smoke dvds to by pass all those commercial interpretations. It got hard to watch the program with a commercial ever ten min. So now I am commercial free.
