Didn't work for me

New replacement cartridges for our HP 9800 printer cost $105 for the pair (color and black). You can buy a new printer for $50. However, we like our printer a lot so I tried these inexpensive knock-off cartridges and unfortunately, got what I paid for. The black printed a medium gray ink and the color cartridge was equally unimpressive with washed out colors.

Works, with some effort, and inexpensive!

The printer recognized the color cartridge but complained that the B&W was not HP-compatible. But a list of things to try when this happens accompanied the product, and one of them worked. So good value for money eventually.

The best solution for printing

I have been using refilled or non-HP cartridges for years with great success. The OEM cartridges are stupid-expensive, and printing a large quantity of news letters for a volunteer organization like i do, I have to economize. Do not be afraid to try these out.
