This item is durable but as with any collector's piece, it is not meant to stand the test of time via rough handling and multiple transformations. If displayed on a Shelf for the majority of its life and handled and transformed rarely duand occasionally, then this space will last a very long time and in my opinion is highly durable. As with any Transformer Masterpiece, take care when transforming as not 2 have parts that touch each other rub too hard when sliding past one another during transformation. This Masterpiece Prime is a classic. It has very smooth and satisfying ratchet joints, good posing, lovely detail, and more accessories and options than any toy like this should have.
