This is a very high quality product.The best I have tried.
I have a long full beard. I have been using the Honest Amish products for years. Their products are by far the best I have tried and I have used dozens of brands.
The Bayou Blend is a lighter balm with a very pleasant scent. I use it mainly for the conditioning properties and it provides a bit of hold.
Truth be told my beard is in such good condition because of their balms, oils, and soaps that the hold isn't really necessary. I use their balms daily and I don't have fly away hairs, split ends or dry skin. I don't lose beard hair either.
After applying the balm (or oil) to my beard I use whats left on my hands on my shaved head. I just rub it into my scalp and it works as a moisturizer and skin conditioner. I love this stuff!!!Read full review

Smells like a bog; as advertised.
It is the same exact consistency of the original beard balm. I have heard people gripe about the anise and clove smell of the original, however, I think it smells fantastic. The Bayou Blend does not. I have trouble placing exactly what the scent of it is. It is earthy and almost a bit waxy scented. Not a manly sort of earthly. Just dirt. It has all the same benefits and qualities of the original beard balm. I would use the unscented balm Honest Amish makes before I purchase this style again.Read full review

Great stuff! If you like beard balms you’ll like this one
I think this bayou blend smells fantastic. It not overly fragrant like some oils/balms I’ve come across. It really does have the perfect amount hold, not too much not too little which still allows flow through and movement from your beard. It’s also give your beard a nice shimmer which I prefer, shiny hair is a sign of good health. The packaging is very nice, and the tin is screw on which is a step up from most other beard balms on the market. For $12.50 this is a no brainer. I would definitely recommend to a friend. My beard gets dry and feels coarse even after showering. This balm conditions my beard and feels wonderful on my skin where I shave my neck. Bayou blend beardtastic!
Ive bought a few from the Honest Amish line and i can say I enjoy them like no other! The Bayou is my favorite! The smell isnt over powering and keeps my beard soft!
